API integration.

Connect your software. Keep information moving.

I build API integrations that connect business applications, databases and internal tools. The aim is to reduce disconnected workflows and give each system the information it needs.

01

Where integrations help

Common projects include synchronising CRM records, moving enquiry details into a task system, connecting reporting data and linking a custom application to a third-party service.

Before building, we identify the source of truth, the fields each system requires and which changes should trigger an update. This avoids an integration that simply moves inconsistent data faster.

02

Beyond a successful API call

An integration needs to handle real operating conditions: authentication, validation, duplicate events, unavailable services and changing records. Retry behaviour, logs and the route for reviewing failures should be defined alongside the happy path.

I work with REST APIs and webhooks, as well as SSO/SAML connections and XML/XSLT transformations. The solution depends on the interfaces and permissions that the existing platforms support.

03

Tools and platform experience

My work has connected Slack, Airtable, Asana, Zoom and internal APIs in customer operations workflows. I also work with Quark platform configuration, integrations, migrations and document workflow automation.

We can start with one data flow, validate it against sample records and expand once its behaviour is clear. Documentation covers field mappings, credentials setup without exposing secrets, operational checks and recovery steps.

Before we start.

Can you connect a legacy system?

Often, but it depends on the interfaces available. We first check its API, export formats, database access and vendor restrictions before proposing an approach.

Can an integration update both systems?

Yes, where supported. Two-way synchronisation needs clear ownership and conflict rules so an update does not overwrite the wrong record or create a loop.

Talk through your project.

Bring the process, system or idea you want to improve. We’ll discuss requirements, constraints and whether a focused first build makes sense.
