01

The context

Market-facing applications depend on backend systems that move information into the workflows where it is used. Rose’s infrastructure serves institutions, developers and AI agents, with trading and analysis as core use cases.

02

My contribution

I helped Rose build low-latency market infrastructure with a focus on getting trading data into the hands of the applications using it faster. My contribution was backend engineering supporting data access for trading and market analysis across institutional, developer and AI-agent workflows.

03

How the work connects

The simplified diagram shows the relationship between market information, backend infrastructure and its consumers. It explains the scope of the work without disclosing private endpoints, deployment details or proprietary trading logic.

04

Performance as an engineering requirement

For a similar engagement, the first step is to define the path being measured: data arrival, transformation, retrieval or application response. A latency target needs a workload, a measurement boundary and an agreed way to evaluate behaviour under load. A single average does not describe every request.

05

The outcome: faster access to trading data

The improvement I want to highlight is speed: backend work that helped trading and analysis workflows access market information faster. A before-and-after latency figure is not published here, so this study does not claim a specific millisecond response time or percentage improvement.

Where this experience applies

Related projects include backend services, data integrations and APIs for systems where response time and dependable access to information matter. A scoped review can establish whether the next useful step is measurement, an integration change or a specific service improvement.
